Delheim | Stellenbosch Stellenbosch

Facilties: Restaurant, Conference Venue, Function Venue

Things to do: Cellar Tours, Open Sundays, Family Friendly, Wine Tasting

We welcome visitors throughout the year to come and taste our wines in our famous "Downstairs" cellar. It is one of the few farms where you can sit and relax, while enjoying a wide selection of wines. For those who like their wines aged, we have the "Collectors Corner" where you can browse at your own leisure, or admire our spider web covered windows which has become a legend of its own.

Visit the heart of Delheim with a guided tour through its cellar. The tour will take you from where the grapes are received and processed, to where the end product is bottled and labeled a real learning experience for both young and old.

Restaurant

German gemütlichkeit is the order of the day in this garden restaurant in a stunning setting with a view clear across to Table Mountain in the distance. The restaurant offers a selection of dishes ranging from cheese platters to traditional German and South African food. Eat al fresco on the garden terraces in summer; cosy up in the ‘Downstairs’ cellar in winter.

The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and tea, and also caters for small private functions. Child-friendly with a special kiddies menu. Booking essential, especially on weekends and holidays.

Tasting and Tours

We welcome visitors throughout the year to taste our wines at leisure in the atmospheric "Downstairs" cellar, with its famous cobwebbed window. If you are looking for something extra special, ask the tasting room staff to show you to the little-known "Collector’s Corner" at the back.

Cellar Tour: Visit the heart of Delheim with a guided tour through its cellar, from where the grapes are received and processed, to where the end product is bottled and labelled - a real learning experience for young and old. The duration of the tour is about 30 minutes, and departs from the "Downstairs" tasting cellar. Booking is essential for groups of more than ten.

Conferences

A beautiful tasting room, the “Vat Cellar” built into our wine cellar can accommodate groups of up to 30 persons. The room is decorated with hand carved wine barrels, each depicting a chapter from Delheim’s history book. It has its own toilet facilities, which can also accommodate wheel chair users. Group bookings are essential.
