Tucked away among rolling valleys, just an hour from Cape Town along the N2, lies the secret gem of the Bot River wine route. This is “where real people make real wines”, and it’s here that you will find Gabriëlskloof, whose sole focus is to perfect the art of wine making. At Gabriëlskloof, you’ll find wines that are typical of the Bot River region, made with our own signature style and flair. You can taste a quintessential Sauvignon Blanc or linger a moment over our white blend, or wax lyrical about the Swartrivier Shiraz.
With our restaurant as with our wines, we are passionate about everything local and source all our produce from neighbouring towns and villages. So, yes, our menu changes regularly, and no, we don’t know specifically what’s going to be on it next month. But you will definitely get good, no-fuss homemade food made from the freshest ingredients.
Sample the current vintages of Gabriëlskloof wines daily. In winter, you can savour the wines while comfortably seated in front of roaring log fires and in summer you can relax in our courtyard surrounded by lush lawns and tranquil, reflective ponds. Our tasting room has spectacular views of the valley, vineyards and adjacent farms. Keep an eye out for the wide variety of birds that also call Gabriëlskloof home.
