The Holden Manz wine estate is located at the top of the Franschhoek valley dominated by the spectacular mountains which stand guard over the beauty below.
Situated between the Franschhoek and Stony Brook rivers, this 22 hectare wine estate benefits from wonderfully fertile and dark loam soils and a state of the art wine making cellar under the supervision of winemaker Mark Carmichael-Green.
Dunstone Wines | Wellington
Dunstone Wines is a small boutique winery lying at the foothills of the historic Bainskloof pass in the beautiful Bovlei Valley, outside Wellington. Dunstone Wines have been attracting a lot of attention with their wines, which have won a number of awards, including double gold at the recent Michelangleo 2010 competition.
With only two cultivars – Merlot and Shiraz - and only 2.7 ha under vines, Dunstone Wines have been producing an excellent range of award winning wines since 2006 including Shiraz; Merlot and a Shiraz Rose.
The 2006 Shiraz collected gold at the 2007 Swiss International Airlines Awards.
The 2007 reds have been even more successful, with Dunstone Shiraz collecting a gold while still in barrels at the SA Young Wine Show, and Gold at the 2007 Veritas awards.
Hidden Valley Wines | Stellenbosch
Hidden Valley is the culmination of years of determined patience. Dave Hidden, winemaker by training, but entrepreneur by nature, has realised his dream. This secluded farm nestled against the Stellenbosch mountains, now boasts a magnificent new cellar amongst its pristine vineyards.
Our vineyards are planted on ancient, decomposed granite soils, consisting of Oakleaf and Tukulu profiles. Hidden Valley is uniquely positioned to produce the best wines.
Plaisir de Merle | Franschhoek
Plaisir de Merle is a historic farm located in the fertile Groot Drakenstein valley near Franschhoek dating back to 1693 when it was granted to a French Huguenot family Marais.
The new cellar which houses wine production at Plaisir de Merle represents a minor architectural triumph. Designed by architect Chris de Hart and completed in 1993, it is a harmonious blend of functionalism and aesthetics.
