Situated just 8km from Worcester on the R43 to Villliersdorp, Aan de Doorns is one of the larger cellars in the Worcester region. A highly respected name in the wine making world of South Africa, Aan de Doorns Cellar was establishe in 1955. The cellar's forward-thinking and the ability to shift their goals always further has produced a success formula in excellent vineyard practice and quality wine making.
The consistently good and pleasingly affordable wines are produced from select vineyards. The cellar's vineyards consist of 1200 hectare on 24 farms in the Aan de Doorns, Overhex, Eilandia and Scherpenheuvel areas. The cellar is partner in the First Cape Group, currently one of the most successful brands in the UK.
The Estate's sound reputation for producing world-class red wines can be ascribed, in part, to its excellent terroir. It is no coincidence that the area is known, locally, as the Golden Triangle. The vineyards face north, north-east and north-west. In summer, when the vines are drenched in sunshine, the late-afternoon sea breezes that rise from False Bay cool the grapes, thus lengthening the ripening period and preserving the complex flavours of the noble varietals grown at Alto.
Established in 1698, Altydgedacht Estate is a family farm where long standing traditions and modern methods blend to create wines of quality and character.Altydgedacht is one of the historic farms established on the fertile slopes of the Tygerberg and has been in the Parker family since 1852. Brothers John and Oliver use the varied soils, slopes and microclimates to grow high quality grapes from suitable noble varieties. Winemaker Oliver produces wines of distinctive character and strong varietal flavour, typical of the renowned Durbanville area.
Altydgedacht has been owned by the Parker family since 1852.George Francis Parker, then aged 19, arrived at the Cape with his parents and 2 brothers in 1819, with one of the many groups of settlers sent by the English governement to the Cape and the Australian colonies.Five generations have maintained and developed Altydgedacht. George's great, great grandsons,John and Oliver, continue the unbroken family tradition. The earliest homestead has been replaced but the original white washed 'ringmuur', 'slavebell' and outbuidings still remain. The cellar, dating from the early 1700's is the one of the oldest functioning wine cellars left in the country.
Amani Vineyards is located on the southern slope of Kanonkop, the tallest of the hills to the west of Stellenbosch. Our vineyards are graced by the ocean breezes of False Bay to the South, the Atlantic to the West and is one of the coolest regions in the Stellenbosch area.
Breathtaking views of Table Mountain, the Cape Point, False Bay and the mountains to the east and north provide a panorama that is awe inspiring.
The history of Annandale Wine Estate traces back to the founding of South Africa. Annandale is the oldest farm in the Helderberg Valley.
During the summer high season, we offer visitors an opportunity to linger-longer in the peaceful country atmosphere by indulging in our Mediterranean-style delicatessen situated adjacent to the tasting centre, next to the poolside, where you can purchase a variety of breads, cheeses, pates and much more while savouring our award-winning wines.
As much as our wines will please you, you will be overwhelmed by magnificent mountain scenes and the charm of historic buildings restored to their original Huguenot splendour of 1694.
Vines are grown mainly in terraced vineyards on a variety of slopes and at varying altitudes, creating conditions that favour a distinct diversity in grape properties and lend a unique character to L'Ormarins wines.
Only noble cultivars are produced - Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon - complemented by a classical Claret blend branded as Optima.
We are currently using the Franschhoek Motor Museum, situated on L'Ormarins, as a temporary tasting facility.

At Arabella we have a very simple objective: we endeavour to make the best wine possible. Achieving this goal is our passion. To date we have won various awards at wine competitions. The name Arabella was chosen as a word play on the beautiful Arabian horses, which grace its verdant pastures. Stephen de Wet and son Jamie are both very keen endurance riders. Jamie received his national colours in 2004. Arabella is a complete family business in which every family member is passionately involved.
At present we have about 200 hectares of vineyards. Our main varieties are Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot and Chardonnay. Arabella is a new venture established on land which has been in the De Wet family since the 1860's. As the vineyards had been etablished many years previously, it was assured that top quality wines would be produced at Arabella. A new cellar, bottling hall and tasting room was built at the beginning of 2006 and the first vinatge from the cellar was produced in 2007. Arabella got off to an auspicious start when the Arabella Shiraz 2007 won a double gold at the Michelangelo International Wine Challenge.
It is the family's desire to establish the Arabella brand by giving our customers the very best quality at the very best price possible. But just good quality is not enough - we want our customers to have a special experience when drinking Arabella wines.
The name Asara is derived from the names of the African gods of Earth, Sun and Sky - Astar, Asis & Asase - expressing the harmony in nature's elements which is reflected in our range of wines. This perfect union gives the wines from Asara their unique character.
At Asara, we focus on the extra-ordinary, the quest for perfection and a complete delight in sheer indulgence. This approach is followed right through the entire winemaking process - starting with the careful harvesting of our grapes, through to the cellaring and maturation of our wines. The proof in this philosophy can be found in each and every bottle. Our production is approximately 65% red and 35% white wines, led by our flagship Bell Tower Collection and all of our wines are grown, matured and bottled on the estate, with 102ha under vine. Our entire range of wines offers exuberant structure and taste, beautifully balanced with undeniable depth, allowing for a celebration of the senses...
Ashanti's terroir with its fertile slopes at the foot of towering mountains enables the winemaker and the viticulturist to optimise the variables of the unique microclimate. The combination of cold nights and warm days enhances the complexity of the tannins and favours the perfect ripening of the grapes.
Ashanti's flagship wine, Chiwara, a complex composition of the noble cultivars grown on the Estate, is a fitting tribute to the ancient African symbol. Chiwara expresses the finest of Ashanti's terroir, the end result of the combined knowledge and experience of the winemaker and viticulturist.
Ashanti's premium range of cultivar wines includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot as well as the uniquely South African Pinotage.
Ashanti's only Single Vineyard wine, the specialty cultivar Malbec, is released annually in small quantities. .

Audacia is a 32 hectare wine farm in a very special area of South Africa's prime vine growing and winemaking region, Stellenbosch. Any estate agent will tell you that the maxim in property is 'location, location, location' - and Audacia has that in spades. It's situated in what is known as 'The Golden Triangle' of Stellenbosch, a unique patch of land at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain. It's special because this is where some of South Africa's best red wines, particularly Shiraz, are grown and made. It's for this reason - and the fact that its vineyards are exclusively planted to red grape varieties – that Audacia has dubbed itself “The Red Wine Boutique Winery”.
