We suggest visiting the winelands by car as it affords you the convenient opportunity to explore the region at your own pace and to really see all the attractions you are interested in by doing smaller "day trips" from your chosen town of accommodation. Most of the towns in the region are appoximately 30 minutes drive from each other so zigging and zagging between them is easy and incredibly scenic.

Well kept roads, spectacular mountaince, rolling valleys and some of South Africa's best mountain passes make driving in the winelands a pleasure.
