The name Asara is derived from the names of the African gods of Earth, Sun and Sky - Astar, Asis and Asase - expressing the harmony in nature's elements which is reflected in our range of wines.

Cosecha, Spanish for "harvest," reflects our location next to the harvest area where grapes are sorted and crushed at Noble Hill Wine Estate in Paarl. It also expresses our desire to bring the farm-fresh, latin flavors of our family's southwestern roots to Cape Town. Ingredients are grown on the farm where possible, and we currently maintain a thriving pepper and vegetable garden which you are free to explore during your visit.
We welcome visitors throughout the year to come and taste our wines in our famous "Downstairs" cellar. It is one of the few farms where you can sit and relax, while enjoying a wide selection of wines.
