Lomond Vineyards opens Tasting Room

18 November 2011
Published in: News /Wine Farms News

The Lomond farm near Gansbaai now has, for the very first time, a place where visitors can taste its wines within sight of where the grapes are grown

The tasting facility is on the high-lying Farm 215, a private nature reserve with a luxury guest-house overlooking the dam and vineyards of Lomond. Both are members of the Uilenkraal Valley Conservancy which has been established by the farm owners of the area to protect its rich indigenous vegetation.

Wayne Gabb, general manager and viticulturist of Lomond, has hired Farm 215’s dining area and kitchen from 15 November to 15 January and in addition to wine tastings will also be offering light lunches from Tuesdays to Sundays between 11:00 and 16:00.

Lomond’s wines will also be for sale.
