Situated five minutes from Stellenbosch in the Jonkershoek valley, with spectacular mountain views and a river flowing through the property, Glenconner offers the visitor the chance to hike in the mountains, stroll along the river banks or mountain bike. Try your hand at trout fishing in the nearby dam, swim in the spring-fed pool or just relax and enjoy the tranquil setting. We are adjacent to a nature reserve and the well-known Boland hiking trail starts close by.
Accommodation consists of a choice of two self-catering cottages sleeping between 2 and 5 people, or B&B accommodation in the main homestead.

Homestead
The Homestead is a very
spacious double room with romantic four-poster bed and sitting room area
with stunning views over the spring-fed pool, lush paddocks and
Jonkershoek's famous twin peak mountains. The bathroom is en suite and
has a Victorian bath as well as a shower and heated towel rail. The room
has a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and DSTV. Linen and towels
provided.
The Studio
The Studio is a spacious
self-catering cottage with large open plan living area and main bedroom
with queen size bed. There is a kitchenette with fridge and microwave
etc. The bathroom ( bath with shower over bath, heated towel rail ) is
en suite to the main bedroom - the second bedroom with twin beds has
access to the bathroom via the main bedroom, so suitable for a family. The patio is the ideal place
to sample local wines whilst watching the sun set behind the mountains.

Oak Cottage
Oak Cottage is a charming
farm cottage with three bedrooms ( two double and one single ) suitable
for either a couple or a family of up to 5. The very spacious living
area has a wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and dining
area. There is access from here to a covered veranda, and this in turn
leads onto a beautiful paved patio with seating and barbecue, surrounded
by a private garden and views of the dramatically beautiful Stellenbosch
mountain. The main bathroom is
situated between the bedrooms and is not en suite. There is a second
bathroom with shower leading off the covered verandah. TV ( SABC only )
